January 31, 2017. Northward bound

CAMPGROUND:  Archer Park RV.  Big park.  Concrete pads.  Full hook-ups.  Beautiful individual showers/bathrooms.  BBQ area.  $30 overpriced.  6 out of 10 stars

LOCATION:  Beesville, Texas

WEATHER:  Beautifiul.  Sunny. Highs in 80s

Today was our last morning at Isla Blanca in South Padre Island.  I biked for the last time to the Visitors' Center to post the blog.

We said good-bye to all our neighbors.  As I've said, this is the friendliest capmpground we have ever stayed in.  We met our new neighbors, a hearing-impaired couple. I "talked" with them via gestures and pointing.  I really admire their spirit.   We ended up in Beesville, a small town halfway to Austin, which is our destination tomorrow.
We are in a large RV park.  Most of the RVs appear vacant.  We think their owners work in the off-shore oil rigs.
There wasn't anything really do but sit in our lawn chairs and relax.   DINNER:  We didn't want to unhook so we could get an early start tomorrow, so we were stuck in this RV park with nothing nearby.  I dug into our food back-up box for dinner.  I made pappardelle pasta in a jalapeño cheese sauce with tuna, garbanzos beans, and capers.  Not too shabby!
