August 13, 2017. Sunday Sips & Songs

LOCATION:  Last full day housesitting in Boise, Idaho

WEATHER:  Cooler.  Highs in 80s.  Beautifiul

As the homeowners return tomorrow, and we plan to take off upon their arrival, we started packing up a bit today.

We went to the Garden City area, one of Boise's suburbs, and returned to Bella Brewing where we had been before.  They have growler refills for $8 on Sundays, so we filled our growler with some IPA for our next leg of the trip.

Then, we had lunch along the Greenbelt at a popular pub. The place was packed, mostly with bicyclists taking a break from the Greenbelt hiking/biking trail.
The band was a Jewish one, playing lively music....think "Hava Nagila" on steroids.  :-)

We shared a plate of hummus and could have sat there, in the beautiful atmosphere and weather, all day.  But there was more..

We drove out into the country to a winery that celebrates Sundays with a band.  There was a nice crowd having picnics and enjoying the music and wine.
Their wines were pretty good, so we bought a bottle for dinner.

Back home, we played with the dogs.  Addy drags the ball inside to tell us she want to play fetch.....again.

DINNER:  Lasagne.  I made 2 casseroles - one for our dinner and one for the homeowners' dinner for tomorrow night.  I always like to have some food on hand for returning homeowners.  They seem to appreciate it.
