July 5 & 6, 2017. Long flight and lost a day!

LOCATION:  Flying over the Pacific Ocean all day

WEATHER:  Who knows?  Probably hot and humid

We left Seattle on July 5 at noon. My trusty ASHHRA bag is my only luggage.  It is easier to pack when the weather is hot - just shorts and T-shirts.

We flew over Mt. Ranier.  Beautiful!
The flight was 11 hours to Seoul, South Korea.  We arrived in Seoul at 3:00 PM on July 6, losing a day with the time zones.  Then, on to Bangkok arriving at about 10:00 PM.  LONG day(s) !!!  We are staying in a motel near the airport.  We will figure out how to get to our housesitting assignment in downtown Bangkok tomorrow.

They say that copying someone is the best form of flattery.....So, I'm copying a practice that our friends Tony and Jen do on their blog.  At the end of each month I will start summarizing the previous month's adventures, and at the beginning of each month I will write about our plans for the month.

July  -
We started the month by finishing up a housesitting assignment in Walla Walla, Washington.  From there, we hooked the Airstream back up and spent the 4th of July weekend in Clarkson, Washington/Lewiston, Idaho on the banks of the Snake River and  home of the famous Hell's Canyon.  We will drive to Boise, Idaho from where we will fly to Bangkok, Thailand on July 5.  A 10-day housesitting assignment in downtown Bangkok will be a fun time to explore the area, and try out the famous street foods.  On our last day in Bangkok, we fly immediately to Singapore where we have another housesitting assignment.  We hope to fly to the historic jungle city of Chang Mai, Thailand from Singapore, spend a few days there, and then take the train back to Bangkok.  We fly back to the USA on August 3.
