July 2, 2017. Exploring the Hell's Canyon area

CAMPGROUND:  Another night at the Hell's Canyon RV Resort.  Continue to score it a 5 out of 5 stars.  Beautiful individual bathrooms with walls lined with historic tiles
LOCATION:  Clarkston, Washington on Idaho border
WEATHER:  Hot again.  High 99

We hung around the RV resort in the morning.  In addition to the indoor pool, there is a life-size chess set available to use.
We took a drive around the area, including climbing the Spiral Highway.  You can see where the Snake River and Clearwater River come together.  It was a bit cooler at 2700 feet --- 89 compared to 99 below.

Then, we drove over to Idaho where wineries are just starting to become popular.  Maybe a good place to invest?

We returned to the RV Resort for our evening cool-off swim, then went to a restaurant on the river.  The view was great; the food not so.

DINNER:  Grilled halibut with a cream sauce with a size of Gorgonzola sauce.  The fish was way overdone.  A real disappointment.
