December 6, 2016. Busy with to-do lists!

LOCATION:  Ferndale, Michigan

WEATHER:  Light rain Highs in 40s

 

We worked through to-do lists...getting the car ready to sell, putting away summer outdoor hoses, installing lights, and fixing gate.  George and I went out for lunch at The Public House, in Ferndale.  A great place with small plates.  We shared some mushrooms and beef brisket.  Really good.  We want to go back.

 

Then, an outing to the hardware store and grocery store.  

 

The afternoon was filled with sneaky Christmas shopping and wrapping of gifts.  

Meredith and George finished up the outdoor lighting.  It looks very nice at night!

 

DINNER:  I gave Meredith a break and cooked dinner.  I made a pumpkin black bean chili.  I had ordered this in a restaurant a few months ago, and enjoyed it a lot, so found a recipe to use/modify.  We made enough to give to a neighbor as a gift.
