October 20, 2016. Quiet day in Grande Prairie

LOCATION:  Grande Praire, Alberta, Canada WEATHER:  Clear and quite cool.  Highs around 32 F   Since we are so far north, the days are quite short already.  We awoke to darkness, but later in the day I took this wintery picture from our bedroom window.  

 

We took a walk around a nearby subdivision.  There are lots of huge houses and almost all of them have a humongous RV motor home in their driveway.  Quite a few people here earn high salaries in the oil patch north of here.  

 

In the afternoon, we drove to town, stocking up at the grocery.  

 

DINNER:  I made our Nova Scotia friend's clam chowder.  It turned out quite tasty.  We ate it while watching Hillary and Trump jabbing at each other, sometimes jokingly, sometimes seriously, at a charity event on TV.
