February 11, 2017. Meeting up with friends at the beach

LOCATION:  With friends at their winter home on the beach, south of St. Augustine, Florida

WEATHER:  Perfect.  Sunny.  Highs about 80

 

We found a brewpub near our RV park and checked out their IPA and stout.  We left the Airstream at the RV park and drove about 10 miles south of St. Augustine for lunch at the beach.  This restaurant, South Beach, used to be my mother's favorite place.  You can sit upstairs and watch the waves roll in (her favorite spot) or sit outside and be right there with the waves.  

Then, a few miles farther south and we arrived at the high-rise condo where some of our friends live.  They are a couple we met years ago when we lived in Gainesville.  They have a summer house in Nova Scotia, and we visited them there this past fall.    

We took our chairs and enjoyed catching up on the beach.  

 

Back at  their condo on the 4th floor, we admired the beautiful view.  

DINNER:  Our friend Marjorie made a delicious eggplant Parmesan dish for us.   Lovely evening.  

While checking emails we received a copy of our tiny house flor plan.  So exciting!
