LOCATION: St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands
WEATHER: Occasional tropical shower, then sun. Highs in 80sWe lounged around the house in the morning, watching our favorite Sunday morning TV show called "CBS Sunday Morning".
In the mid-afternoon, we drove to the other side of the island to a resort our homeowners had recommended called Secret Harbor. It is a secluded resort on a beautiful beach. We went to the bar for a happy hour snack. A friendly iguana came up to customers' tables, begging for food.
We had ahi tuna nachos. They were really good......wontons (instead of chips), ahi tuna chunks, mango slices, ginger slices, bits of seaweed, all drizzled with a wasabi mayo sauce. At happy hour prices! We first sat at the bar. A football game was playing on the TV, broadcast from frigid-looking Buffalo. We moved to a table to watch the sun set. The sun gradually set over the water.
Time to go home. We don't like driving at night here. The roads are quite narrow and everyone zips around quite fast. Drivers also seem to hog the center line. I do quite a bit of gasping. :-)
DINNER: A light meat and cheese sandwich, since we had the good nachos.
60 Minutes on TV. A great Sunday!
