January 6, 2017. Getting ready for the road!

LOCATION:  Phoenix, Arizona WEATHER:  Beautiful. Sunny.  Highs in upper 60s.  Locals think it is cold.  

We are staying in a motel while we are working on the vehicles.  We got an early start and spent the morning at the storage area.  I cleaned the Airstream while George did all the hookups.  Everything seems to be in good order.  Thank goodness!

I had lunch with a former Mayo Clinic coworker.  It was so good catching up.  While I was at lunch, George took the Airstream in for a new set of tires.  We hate to spend the money, but thought it was the safest thing to do, since the tires have sat in the hot sun for a year.    

Back at the storage area, we cleaned some more.  I arranged all the bins and put everything in its place.  I brought back all the dishes to the motel to wash, as everything is covered in dust.  Our motel room is stuffed with laundry and kitchen stuff.

 

DINNER:  We went to a nearby Italian restaurant.  It was packed.  Tasty!
