September 12, 2016. Following the whisky-tasting trail.

LOCATION:  Galway, Ireland
WEATHER:  Rainy and cool. High about 60

With today's cool, rainy weather, we thought today would be a good day to follow Galway's whiskey-tasting trail.

We started in a very quaint pub in the Latin Quarter with a tasting tray.

They were all quite tasty and warming. George read the official description of them....

The pub has many nooks and crannies, including a space in front of a peat fire.

The pub is called Tigh Neachtain.  Everything is written in both Gaelic and English.

The streets were full of tourists and locals.

We bought some shrimp and fish at the fish shop next door to our VRBO.

In the evening, we went out again to continue the whiskey tasting.  We found this pub with excellent musicians.  They played a variety of instruments, and got me to accompany them on the spoons!

DINNER:  I made a seafood pasta dish.

After dinner, Graham and Alexis went to another pub to listen to more traditional music.
